Total consumption of wooden panels in Europe is to reach record levels. According to UNECE Timber Commitee the main reason of high demand wooden panle is rising housing in Europe, furniture produstion and wood-floor production. However, profit of sectors is negatively affected with oil and raw wooden material price increasing. A slight wooden-panel consumption decrease is expected in USA this year due to reductions in housing starts. Russian market expects rise in wooden panel production by 9% in 2006 and another 10% in 2007. New plant production is dedicated to domestic market mainly.
