Raw wood-material market situation is unfavourable for small manufacturers this year. In the spring time most of the mills had dificulties with log supply shortage, as the deliveries were slowed down due to long winter. However, nowadays the situation is even worse. The prices increased strongly and there is not enough logs. The worst situation face the sawmills located in the north of Czech republic because it is not possible to buy spruce logs even for the price of 1900 Kč/m3. The log shortage affects woodworking machinery market also as companies are cancelling machinery orders because they are not sure whether they will have enough material for their production.
