Wilhelm Mende GmbH declared yesterday bankruptcy. The firm is one of the largest European producers of thin particle boards and blockboards. It is part of the Köster group. The management of the firm wants to benefit from bankruptcy protection to restructure the firm. Costs reductions are planned in personnel and in maintenance costs and raw material use.
