On 20th July 2006 there was a competition entitled The Most Beautiful Wood-Building of Year 2006 declared in Czech Republic. The aim of this competitive exposition is to encourage all forms of quality building with substantial use of technology based on wooden elements, wooden products or wood-based construction systems but also to evaluate and popularize interesting and quality realizations of wooden-constructions for living. The competitive exposition includes three categories: panel (sandwich) constructions of wooden houses, log-houses, lodges and cottages up to 60 m2 of built-up area. Wooden-houses built in Czech Republic and finished by 23rd July 2006 can enter this competition. The organizer of this competition is fair administration Terinvest, spol.s r.o., which is also an organizer of international wood-processing, wooden-houses and constructions fair entitled Drevostavby 2007.
